SOUTH CAROLINA STATE LEGISLATURE
Participants write and present their bills in committee, and if a bill passes committee, it is debated on the floor. After passing both houses, the bill goes to the Governor who may sign or veto it. A Supreme Court also hears a case each Fall Session in which participant "attorneys" debate the constitutionality of a law. During the proceedings, state officials such as the governor and lieutenant governor speak to the delegates.
Converse has been very successful in this activity, including being named the Best Small College Delegation.
