Dr. Baker represents the clinical branch of the psychological tree. He maintains a small private practice where he does individual adult therapy, couple therapy, and psychological evaluations. He teaches Counseling and Psychotherapy, Psychology of Personality, Behavior Modification, Psychology of Relationships, as well as Senior Seminar and General Psychology. His special interests include Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder) He also explores with students in a detailed way the role that music plays in their lives. His clinical interest in managing stress has led him to investigate "present moment" meditation as a coping resource.
Dr. Baker received his Ph.D. from Duke University in psychology, and his B.A. from Oberlin College in philosophy.
