Mission Trips

Each year, Converse sponsors a spring break mission trip that offers the opportunity for students to travel and serve people living in marginal communities – such as the homeless, abandoned and abused children, and the indigent elderly.

Recent trips include working with Habitat for Humanity in Tlapa, Mexico and Columbus, Georgia, working with the Center of Student Mission in Washington, D.C and working with the YMCA and the community homeless shelter in Nashville, TN. Although students may not receive credit for these trips, they provide wonderful learning experiences in such subjects as foreign languages, economics, religion, and sociology.
